About

I’m in my late thirties, in my second year of teaching in Korea. I’m slightly hyperactive and like everything from baking to crochet to cycling to travelling. My blog will try to illuminate life in Korea and how you can live your life fully in any country if you open your heart and eyes to the experience. Jog with me- let’s see what’s around the next corner ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. I canโ€™t begin to thank you enough for stopping over and following my humble blog-o-thing! I wish you the very best, not only today but well into the future. Be inspired and please take care.

  2. Dear thissokolife,

My name is Joyce and I work for ExpatFinder.com.
ExpatFinder.com is a free one stop website for people preparing to move or working and living overseas. We provide a myriad of services for expatriates and we have over 2,000 articles to help and support the people moving around the world and we are now creating an interview section to help the expats with real life experiences!
We quite enjoy your blog about living in South Korea, it is very interesting and informative. Would it be possible to interview you to further share some of your tips and feature some of your first hand experience as an Expat and your interview will be published on our Expat Interview section as a guide for our expat readers. The questions are mainly about the day to day lifestyle of an expat. If it would be possible, could you also send some photographs that we can use?
Of course, if you accept, we can add a link to your blog or some of your website.
The questions are enclosed, feel free to respond freely. You can return the doc with your answers if you accept this invitation.
Thanks in advance and do let me know if you prefer other means to conduct this interview and we would be happy to accommodate your terms.

    Best regards,
    Joyce

  3. Hey Joyce,

My name’s Margaret, a fellow expat residing in Seoul. A friend and I are currently in the process of creating a new site to be a go-to for information about living in travelling in Seoul. We’re wanting to provide quality content about this-that-and the other thing with regular updates and a strict “no bullshit, no sweet talk” approach.

We’re currently looking for contributors to prep for the site launch and feel your photography skills and writing style would be a good fit for our site.

Please shoot me an email if you’re interested and we’ll be happy to discuss what you feel you can contribute and compensation.

Hope to hear from you soon!
